Open StreethengeWhat Streethenge does not do
Streethenge does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising analytics.
Streethenge does not use user accounts, and it does not sell personal data or use behavioral advertising.
What stays in your browser
Saved alignments, recent searches, and language preference are stored in your browser on this device using local storage.
That information is not sent to Streethenge servers as part of the saving feature itself. You can remove it by clearing your browser data or using the app's remove options.
Location and map services
If you use your current location, your browser will ask for permission first. Streethenge uses that location to calculate nearby alignments.
OpenStreetMap tiles are loaded directly in your browser from OpenStreetMap's tile service, so that service can receive your IP address and the map tile requests needed to display the map.
Street search queries are sent by Streethenge to Nominatim, and nearby road and area scan requests are sent by Streethenge to Overpass API. Those services receive the search or coordinate data needed to answer the request.
Calendars, downloads, and routine logs
Timezone lookup is handled locally inside Streethenge using an offline dataset. Streethenge does not call a third-party timezone service.
Streethenge uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits and page use. Vercel states that this analytics product does not use cookies and works with anonymous, aggregated data such as page URL, referrer, approximate geolocation, browser, operating system, and device type.
If you choose Google Calendar or Outlook, the selected calendar provider receives the event details needed to create the calendar entry. Apple Calendar and .ics downloads are generated locally in your browser.
Like most websites, the hosting provider may still receive routine technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of request for security and operation.
